Cecil and Pat Farnsworth are asking approval for a RV park at 175 Highway 133 in Paonia, Colo., and propose to develop their park in four phases, according to the Delta County Independent.

The Farnsworths would like the first phase for the RV park, located in the west central part of the state, completed by the summer of 2012.

As planned, the property would include, in addition to the RV park, a private dwelling, a convenience store, club house, pool and possibly a small motel and restaurant. The entire site will be landscaped.

The Farnsworths believe the development “will provide an attractive and pleasing approach to the Paonia area from the west. There should not be any adverse effects to adjoining property owners. This development will enhance their properties and quality of life.”

The application went before the Upper North Fork Advisory Planning Committee on Thursday (June 16) and will go before the Delta County Planning Commission on June 23, 7 p.m., at the Delta County Courthouse. A decision from the Board of County Commissioners is anticipated on July 18.
