Many California/Texas Parks Have July 4 Openings
Many campgrounds, RV parks and resorts are booked solid for July 4th weekend. But Camp-California.com has identified more than 73 parks across the state that have yet to fill up for the holiday weekend, according to a news release.
“There are privately owned campgrounds, RV parks and resorts in many areas of California the state that still have a few spots left for 4th of July weekend,” said Verna Wiseman, communications director for the California Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (CalARVC), which operates Camp-California.com.
Likewise, the Texas Association of Campground Owners (TACO) has identified at least 24 campgrounds, RV parks and resorts across Texas that still have campsites and cottages available for July 4th weekend, according to a news release.
“Fourth of July weekend is always one of our busiest weekends of the summer camping season,” said Brian Schaeffer, TACO executive director and CEO, adding that most campsites and cottages and cabins are booked weeks in advance of the holiday weekend.

Meanwhile, Carefree RV Resorts stated that at least four of its parks, all located in Florida, still have a few sites left for the holiday weekend.
