The 2011 Allegro Breeze, made by Tiffin Motorhomes Inc., the top-selling Class A motorhome manufacturer in the U.S. this year, as reported by Statistical Surveys Inc.

Year-over-year motorhome sales edged down 6.4% in April, while registrations for the first four months showed a slight 0.9% decline, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI).

As noted today (June 14) by, overall sales in the Class A category showed some signs of weakness in April, dropping 10.8%, but remained flat year-to-date, down just 0.3%.

Tiffin Motorhomes Inc. remained the Class A leader for the first four months with a 22% market share, just edging Winnebago Industries Inc., which posted a 19.7% market share. Thor Industries Inc. was No. 3 in sales, recording a 16.7% market share.

Class C sales were off 2.4% in April and dropped 2.8% for the first four months. Thor Industries Inc. was the leader year-to-date, holding a 24.9% market share, followed by Forest River Inc.’s Coachmen RV division (22%) and Winnebago (19%).

SSI noted that it has added the capacities to track RVs that were sold as rental fleets.
