They come from all over the country, representing all walks of life, and there’s no denying that the folks at the campgrounds in York, Maine, are happy campers.

Whether they’re set up at Camp Eaton and Libby’s Campground, located on York Street next to Long Sands Beach, down by Cape Neddick Beach at Cape Neddick Campground, or up in the spacious wooded area of Dixon’s Campground on Route 1, camping is a favorite way to spend the summer, seacoastonline.com reported.

“My aunt and uncle had a place up here and I used to come up when I was little. We loved it so much and when I got married we started coming up here with my kids,” said Joyce Wholey, of North Chelmsford, Mass., who has been visiting Camp Eaton for 45 years.
