Actress and film producer Meg Allen will be the keynote speaker at the Island Park, Idaho, Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting Aug. 18 at Elk Creek Ranch.

She will talk about the Rally in the Pines two-day ATV event that will be headquartered at Buffalo Run Campground Aug. 26-27. The community is located just west of Yellowstone National Park.

Her company, BAM Film Productions, which she owns with her husband, Blake, will produce a PowerSports Adventures television show and DVD on the rally, the Island Park News reported.

Allen is an outdoor woman all the way, having grown up camping, fishing and riding dirt bikes. She loves to snowmobile, ride ATV’s and stream fish.

She started her acting career on “General Hospital,” and played the McDonald’s counter girl who said the tongue twister, “Two all beef patties, special sauce…” that aired during the Superbowl.

PowerSports Adventures produces 13 weekly motorsports adventures that air to 47 million households nationwide on the Pursuit Channel and Altitude Sports & Entertainment Network. All forms of motorsports are featured, along with outdoor activities that go hand and hand with recreational motorsports, such as fishing, hunting, camping and exploring out of the way places.

Also at the luncheon, chamber president Jay Bailey will give the annual report of chamber accomplishments, and members will be asked to cast votes for four board positions. Incumbents running include Lynette Coonce, treasurer and co-owner of Buffalo Run Campground.
