Editor's note: Following are excerpts from a news release from Evanne Schmarder touting her latest "RV Cooking Show" episode.

Even if the "food scene" isn't your thing, this "RV Cooking Show" – "Flying Flags More to Explore" episode will make you smile… maybe even giggle! Don't believe me? Well then, you've never fallen under the spell of adorable miniature horses before, have you?

Sure enough, I got just what the doctor ordered when I went searching for a neat, off-the-beaten track spot to showcase for this episode. Maria at Quicksilver Miniature Horse Farm graciously welcomed us as did a number of yearlings the day we visited. If you notice the camera shaking during our talk, that's because the inquisitive miniature horses were checking out the cameraman's tripod!

We also got an opportunity to learn a whole lot about lavender including what makes a variety "culinary" and exactly how the oil is extracted from those beautiful purple buds from Cheryl at Andre Organic Lavender Farm. In fact, it was that visit that lit the light bulb in my head…the genesis for the "cooking" portion of this episode – Lavender Lemon Drop Martinis.

You can watch this episode we're calling "More to Explore" as well as find the recipes for lavender simple syrup, lavender lemon drops and lavender lemonade (the best I've ever tasted!!) right now.

This seventh episode of our "Food, Fun & Friends at Flying Flags" is the final show in the series. From our Santa Maria Tri-tip show with bbq master Richard Boucher and Chief Cupcake Taster Kevin Vander Vliet from Enjoy Cupcakes to sit-downs with Two Oil Barons – Theo Stephan from Global Gardens and Mary Jane Edalpour at La Nogalera, a really fun Walking Tour and Cal-Ital wine maker Bill Mosby interview, David Cane's kind hospitality at El Rancho Marketplace and our tapas party, "movie night" with David Walker and horse whisperer Monte Roberts, a sensational gourmet Italian luncheon with celebrity chef Giorgio Curti of Trattoria Grappolo to this episode, it has been a real blast!!

Special thanks to two fellows that began as business associates and wound up very good friends – Dan Baumann at Flying Flags RV Resort and Randy Hendrickson of Horizon RV Resorts – you guys rock!

And thanks to you, our friends that watch each episode. We'll have a new e-cookbook out as a companion to this series soon…I think you'll like it. I've heard from several of you and really appreciate all of your comments. Please. Keep them coming, okay!?!
