Tom Johnson Camping Center in Marion, N.C., will host the 37th Annual North Carolina State Bluegrass Festival Thursday through Saturday (Aug. 18-20) showcasing 19 bands over three days.

“Our Rally Park was designed for large events such as the Bluegrass Festival and our free Annual Customer Appreciation BBQ which occurs each September,” Gary Stroud, vice president, stated in a news release. “We routinely host large rally groups accommodating hundreds of RVs and thousands of participants.”

The NC State Bluegrass Festival draws some of the largest names in the industry, including Ralph Stanley & The Clinch Mountain Boys, Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver and many more. Thousands are expected to attend this family oriented event.

“The Rally Park pavilion can seat over 2,000 and there are extensive areas for lawn seating. With over 470 RV sites in the Rally Park and an additional 66 sites in our campground, plus the onsite cafe and over 22 years of hosting experience, we are well equipped to handle events such as the Bluegrass Festival,” said Stroud.

Camping space is still available and can reserved by calling 800-225-7802 and tickets can be ordered online or at the gate.
