Wi-Fi Slow in Coming to Some British Columbia Parks
Campfires, hotdogs and Wi-Fi?
There doesn’t appear to be much interest in bringing the Internet to British Columbia’s provincial parks. Many parks across Canada are bringing in Wi-Fi, but BC isn’t following suit just yet, News 1130, Vancouver, reported.
Just one park in northern BC, Meziadin Lake Provincial Park, offers Wi-Fi and it’s in a very remote area, so that’s mainly for safety reasons.
BC Parks says the ministry isn’t looking at bringing it in yet, but adds that could change at the whim of individual operators.
The Vancouver Sun had details of a recent survey that found just one-in-four people wanted Internet access while camping.
