New security camera unveiled.

Bushnell Outdoor Products, an industry-leader in high performance sports optics for more than 60 years, has introduced a new cordless, weatherproof digital surveillance camera. The Bushnell Land Surveillance Camera helps property owners keep a watchful eye on property and assets 24 hours a day.

With a cordless operation and all-weather performance, the Land Surveillance Camera is a cost-effective surveillance solution for property owners, according to a news release from the Overland Park, Kan.-based company.

The camera captures high quality still images or video clips (up to 15 seconds), with adjustable resolution settings of 2MP or 5MP. With a six-month battery life (powered by four AA batteries) and a 16GB SD memory card capacity, the camera is designed to provide long-lasting, uninterrupted performance.

The Land Surveillance Camera features 18 infrared night vision LED lights and a 30 foot motion-activated sensor, giving users a discreet way to monitor property at day or night. At less than five inches tall, the camera is easy to transport and easy to hide for surveillance purposes.

With a temperature range of 0-140 degrees Fahrenheit and a gasket-sealed, weatherproof-housing, the camera is built to withstand the extreme temperatures and weather conditions common in many regions throughout the United States. Each image or video captured includes a time, date and moon phase stamp for quick reference when reviewing scores of files.

The Bushnell Land Surveillance Camera is available exclusively at more than 200 Sam’s Club locations throughout the U.S. With a retail price of $99.88, the camera includes a universal base swivel mount, 2.0GB Sandisk SD memory card and four AA Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries.

We bought one of these at Sam’s last week for our acreage and will use next fall on camping trips as well. This is a great tool for checking out your property or maybe even a second home when you are not around. We were able to capture several vehicles passing by acreage property (and could see their license plate numbers clearly), the post man delivering our mai, and even a few critters (racoon and deer) at night. Since we are not at our acreage home much, this has given us the basic, inexpensive security we needed and will brought along with us on camping and RV trips next spring as well.
