Retail Sales of Motorhomes Fell 3.3% in September

The retail sales of Class A and C motorhomes fell 3.3% in September compared to September 2010, Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI) has reported.

Class A motorhome sales rose 1.3% in September, while Class C sales fell 10.4%.

In a separate report, SSI noted that Class B sales were down 1% in September.

Year-to-date, Class A and C sales are up 1.5% over 2010.

Class A sales are up 1.2% for the year, while Class C sales are up 1.8%.

Year-to-date, Class B sales are down 28.5%.

Grand Rapids, Mich.-based SSI collects and reports data for the RV industry.
