Southeast Publications Continues Care Camp Giving
Every year at the Southeast Publications fall and spring company meetings, the company has an auction very similar to the one at the Kampgrounds of America Inc. (KOA) Convention/Expo, only a bit smaller.
Whatever is raised, or spent, by the sales associates is matched by the company. At last week’s KOA Convention in Las Vegas, Southeast Publications presented KOA Care Camps a check for just under $38,000, according to a news release.
“Since we started having the auctions at the company meetings, we have donated over $300,000 to the Care Camps,” reported Kurtis Eiben, company spokesman. “Peter Warrick, the founder of Southeast Publications, was one of the first people to be put on the Care Camps Wall of Fame. His son, Wally, has taken over the company and his passion for the Care Camps is just as big as his father’s.”
“We are looking forward to 2012,” Eiben said. Clint Bell from the San Diego KOA will be joining as auctioneer next fall.
