Mobile Expands ‘RV City’ for 2012 Mardi Gras
The Mobile (Ala.) Civic Center announced that a limited number of spaces have been released for the 2012 Mobile Mardi Gras RV City.
It’s a Mardi Gras tradition in the Port City that brings in the regulars and newcomers each season, but now even more will be able to enjoy with these limited spots available.
RV City is nestled under the Water Street overpass off I-10 and typically accommodates approximately 200 campers who revel in the excitement of the Mardi Gras season. It gives Mardi Gras attendees the convenience of being parked for the entire Mardi Gras season, rather than searching for parking spots during each parade.
RV City started about 11 years ago with under 70 motorhomes and trailers. Last year, that number had more than tripled. Opening up a few additional spots will give even more people the opportunity to experience Mobile Mardi Gras the RV way.
RV City will be open for move-in on Jan. 21 and 22. For reservations and additional information, contact Peggy Jimenez at (251) 443-8818 or firstname.lastname@example.org .
Cost for a spot in RV City is $399 for the entire month and is dry camping (no utilities included).
