RV Park and Campground Briefs
From KFBB-TV, Great Falls:
Despite the winter weather, even firefighters were surprised when they received a call for a grass fire on the southeast side of Great Falls Wednesday evening (Nov. 30).
Sand Coulee Fire Department Chief Larry Butler says the fire happened at the KOA campground when a burning brush fire got into 150 railroad ties.
Butler says high winds fueled the blaze and about 25 firefighters from Sand Coulee, Black Eagle, Gore Hill and Malmstrom responded.
It took well over three hours for responders to get the fire under control but the blaze did not threaten any structures.
