Zoom Floom layout

A simple dirt hill is what inspired Ron Romens, founder and president of Commercial Recreation Specialists (CRS), to create Zoom Floom – the world’s first portable, inflatable water slide.

Zoom Floom quickly turns most any hillside into a wet and wild activity for kids, teens and families without costly construction or investment in permanent infrastructure, according to a CRS news release.

“Zoom Floom is modular with really easy set up and take down,” said Romens.  “Its flexible configuration allows exit into a pool, pond or lake – or set-up completely on land.”

Romens designed Zoom Floom as a way to add water fun with minimal equipment and expense, especially for clients without access to a water feature.

The Details

Zoom Floom’s low-profile design is made from durable, commercial-grade materials designed to last. Available in 30-foot lengths, Zoom Floom can be configured as a single slide or side-by-side slides for competitions and races. The core of the Zoom Floom system is the Zoom Chute which incorporates side rails for safety and handles for convenient portability. Exit the slide into a pool or waterfront – or attach the exclusive Water Brake to make Zoom Floom safe for land-only operation. Add speed by attaching the Starting Block to increase the rider’s angle of descent for accelerated sliding. Zoom Floom’s expandable three-piece system allows for ultimate flexibility to create different types of slides for different types of audiences or events.

Commercial Recreation Specialists is headquartered in Verona, Wis., with representatives in New Jersey, and serves customers across the United States and the Caribbean. With over 40 years of combined industry experience, CRS is not only an equipment supplier for select vendors, but also offers design, planning, installation and operations services.
