The Idaho City Ranger District has added three campgrounds to the national forest campground reservation system.

The campgrounds are Ten Mile, Bad Bear and Edna Creek. They are located off of Idaho 21, northeast of Idaho City. The campgrounds will have a limited number of sites available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Mark Twain Lake is currently in the process of renovating the nine shower and restroom facilities within the Ray Behrens Recreation Area. Due to the nature of the renovation activities the opening date of the Deer Run camping loop will be delayed from March 30 to April 13, to ensure completion of the work and safety of visitors.

The Sentry Ridge camp loop in Indian Creek Recreation Area will open on March 30 as scheduled. It offers 70 campsites, several of which offer full hook up connections. Moreover, Joanna camp loop in Frank Russell will be available on March 30 and offers 20 electric camp ites.
