Pirate Cove Resort Adds Four New Zip Lines
GoZip and ERi announced the addition of GoZip Pirate Cove at the award-winning Pirate Cove Resort & Marina in Needles, Calif.
Featuring exhilarating adventures for thrill seekers and families alike, GoZip Pirate Cove will offer four new, state-of-the-art attractions.
These are the “Plank Walk” Powerfan Freefall, an 80-foot Giant “Bosun Swing,” the high-speed “Rum Runner” motorized zip line and an unparalleled “Pirates Quest” zip line tour, according to a news release.
All rides and tours are scheduled to begin in June.
Conveniently located next to the Pirate Cove Restaurant & Bar, GoZip Pirate Cove will include:
- Guests will experience the thrill of free falling (just like jumping out of an airplane) on the 80-foot “Plank Walk” Powerfan Freefall. The innovative fan mechanism will slow you down just before your feet touch the sandy shore for a nice, gentle landing.
- Did you enjoy swinging when you were a kid? Our 80-foot, Giant “Bosun Swing” will bring back fond memories and leave you smiling, as you swing back and forth along the Colorado River.
- Unlike any other zip line in the world, the innovative “Rum Runner” motorized zip line is powered by 30 hp electric motors, which will simultaneously whisk up to six riders more than 1,000 feet away. Riders will travel at speeds of more than 55 mph.
- The adventures continue with a guided “Pirates Quest” zip line tour that will run diagonally across the peninsula. The tour consists of five zip lines, ranging from 312 feet to 1,300 feet, two towers and one 80-foot suspension bridge. The tour accommodates groups of 10 guests at one time and lasts approximately two hours. Guests will learn about the great Colorado River basin and the historic Route 66, while zipping in style.
