Antique collectors from New England and across the country will once again converge on the small town of Brimfield, Mass., May 8-13, for the first of three Brimfield Antique and Collectibles Shows. The antique show features over 20 fields filled with antiques, jewelry, art, silver, glassware, lighting, sculptures and other collectibles from over 5,000 dealers.

Beginning in 1959 with only 67 exhibitors, the weeklong festival has grown into the largest outdoor antique show in New England, attracting RVers from all over the world for the best deals on their favorite pieces.

“We always look forward to the antique show each year,“ said Donna Rainville, property manager at Thousand Trails Sturbridge RV Resort and Campground. “We welcome the fairgoers to our preserve.”

Located along a one-mile stretch of Route 20, the show offers collectors just about everything from the finest antiques to flea market items. While most fields are free to enter, some do charge an admission fee for the opening day. Field openings are scheduled at different times to accommodate the large crowds. Most dealers begin to close between 5 and 6 p.m., depending upon the weather.

Food vendors will be located on all fields offering a variety of different foods. New England Motel has the largest food court area and an ATM machine. Although some of the bigger dealers take credit and debit cards, collectors are encouraged to bring cash or checks.

Off-street parking is available for a fee in various locations. Parking on the roadside is prohibited. The antique show will return July 10-15 and again Sept. 4-9.

RVers traveling to Brimfield Antique and Collectibles Show can find premium camping accommodations at Sturbridge RV Resort. Located minutes away from all the antiquing action, the resort offers RV travelers resort-style amenities within a picturesque environment.
