Campers take a leisurely ride along the Pacific Ocean coast near Cannon Beach, Ore.

Sea Ranch RV Park and Stables have been a very visible part of Cannon Beach, Ore., for years – 65 years to be more precise.

On May 10, owners Terry and Carmen Swigart invited community members to a celebration in the campground and RV park’s new events center. The celebration featured food and raffles for prizes like a session with a licensed acupuncturist or a massage by a licensed massage therapist, the Cannon Beach Gazette reported.

Additionally, Aaron Meyer, a rock violinist who has worked with Pink Martini, performed in the events center, which was built last year.

Carmen Swigart said that she felt fantastic about the event.

“It’s a dream of mine coming to fruition,” she said. “Words can’t explain it.”

Also featured at the celebration was the work of local nature photographer Neal Maine.

Carmen Swigart told the crowd that she had promised Maine that he’d be the first person to display his works in the new events center – 17 years ago when she initially conceived of the idea.

Maine said that he was happy to get to work with the Swigarts and that it helped to have 17 years of notice before a show.

Swigart said that she and Terry were happy to be celebrating the occasion with friends and community members.

“What else could I ask for?” she said.
