Wayne and Cecelia Schleder, owners of Meadow-Vale Campsites, a 110-site campground and RV park in Mount Vision, N.Y., announced the completion of an upgrade in electric service to campsites in their park. Electric service for 36 sites has been upgraded to 30-/50-amp service, for a total of 53 sites. There are also 24 sites with 30-amp electric service, according to a news release.

According to Cecelia Schleder, this improvement project was made possible by working with local partners, including Community Bank, N.A. of Oneonta, which provided financing, Otsego Electric Co-Operative, which provided implementation assistance, and Rozella and Son Electrical Contractors, which installed the electric service.

“The upgraded service will allow weekend, weekly and seasonal visitors to optimize the use of their campers ranging from pop up to Class A motorhomes,” said Cecelia Schleder.

While the electric upgrade project was ongoing, the Schleders oversaw additional improvements to the park, including the addition of 400 feet of drainage pipe, removal of trees and the repositioning of the electric service on the site. All upgrades were completed in time for the busy Memorial Day weekend.

Said Wayne Schleder, “All these factors made Memorial Day weekend a special camping experience for a record crowd at Meadow-Vale Campsites. We look forward to bringing in more campers over the summer to enjoy our park and the attractions and communities around us.”

Meadow-Vale Campsites is open daily now through Columbus Day. For more information, or to make reservations, visit, or call (607) 293-8802.
