From The Associated Press:
A wildfire that has charred nearly 92 square miles in northern Colorado since it began 10 days ago is now 50 percent contained, authorities said.
From the Magnolia Reporter:
Objections from Western Hills subdivision residents were not enough to stop the Magnolia Planning Commission on Monday (June 18) from giving its final approval to plans for a recreational vehicle park off West University.
Last month, the commission gave conditional approval to an RV park that Donnie and Deborah Wilson want to create on land they bought from Brenda Hickey. The commission asked Randy Ray with Ray and Associates to come back with more detailed plans for the RV park, including the placement of fences, roads and pad sites.
Ray did so on Monday, and the commission voted 5-0 to approve the park’s placement.
Earlier in the meeting, Western Hills residents voiced concerns about the RV park. They said they should have received more notice about the proposal, and that more planning should go into it. They also expressed concerns that having an RV park in the neighborhood might affect their property values.
