California State Park Update: Only 5-6 to Close
Editor’s Note: The following update on the status of California state parks appears in this week’s issue of “Wednesday Morning Coffee Talk & Updates,” an online newsletter of the California Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (CalARVC).
July 1, 2012, has come and gone. Through creative funding, more concession opportunities and a strong contingent of California volunteers of the proposed 70 parks slated for closure only five or six will actually close.
Additionally, at the 11th hour the recently passed budgeted returned $10 million to State Park funding.
