Towable RV Sales Rose 8.8% in May, 7.8% YTD

Year-over-year retail towable sales gained 8.8 percent in May while registrations for the first five months increased 7.8 percent, has reported. Based on the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI), results showed:

  • Sales for the high-volume travel trailer sector rose 12.9 percent in May while year-to-date registrations were up 11.9 percent.
  • Fifth-wheel registrations grew 4.2 percent for the month and 3.7 percent through May.
  • Folding camping trailer sales declined 9.7 percent in May and 13.7 percent year-to-date.
  • Park model sales fell 26.8 percent for the month and 22.7 percent through May.
