Absentee Ballots for ARVC Board of Directors
Each year during the Outdoor Hospitality Conference & Expo, ARVC members vote for candidates for open seats to the ARVC board of directors. The voting will take place this year on Wednesday, Nov. 28.
For those members who are not able to attend the conference, you will still be able to vote for your area’s representative. This year we sent each ARVC member an absentee ballot along with biographies on the candidates in corresponding voting areas who are running for the open seats on the board of directors.
If you would like to vote for your area’s representatives, please return the ballot to the ARVC office no later than Thursday, Nov. 15. It’s recommended that you postmark the ballots by Nov. 1 to ensure they arrive at the ARVC office by Nov. 15. Should you decide to attend the Outdoor Hospitality Conference & Expo, or if you wish to have someone deliver your ballot at the conference, it may be delivered to the tellers at your respective voting area on Wednesday, Nov. 28, from 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.
This year, areas 2, 3, 4 and 6 will have a vote. Here are the following states in each voting area:
- Voting Area 2: Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.
- Voting Area 3: Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin.
- Voting Area 4: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
- Voting Area 6: Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
If you did not receive your absentee ballot, please contact the ARVC office at (303) 681-0401.
Discounted Music Licensing Program Now Available
Did you know that your park is legally liable to pay royalties on any music that you play? That includes jukeboxes, digital music services, Muzak, satellite radio and TV, cable, on hold music, DJs, live performers, karaoke – even your personal CDs if you play them in public.
We are pleased to announce that ARVC has negotiated a one-of-a-kind combined music licensing agreement available exclusively to ARVC members. This single annual license combines the benefit of coverage for both ASCAP and BMI at a drastically reduced rate.
To participate in the combined licensing program for the calendar year 2013, simply complete the acceptance form and return it, along with your payment, no later than Nov. 30, 2012. The acceptance form can be found on the main member page of www.arvc.org.
If you already have pre-paid full or partial BMI licensing fees for 2013, that amount will be automatically deducted from your invoice. Please feel free to contact Derek Dick, ARVC membership manager at email@example.com or (303) 681-0401 ext. 116 with any questions you may have.
2012 National RV Park and Campground Operations Survey
The 2012 National RV Park and Campground Operations Survey is now available for completion. You should have already received either an e-mail invitation or letter in your mailbox informing you of the survey’s availability and instructions for completing. As you know, the primary objective of this study is to provide a high-quality, reliable report and information resource that helps identify trends within the industry, so that owners/operators can base their business decisions on quality, informed and objective data.
This year we have set the stage for streamlining the survey process by creating a permanent online database of survey responses for each member park. This means that in subsequent years of the study, you will only need to update selected sections of the survey. Think of the time and effort you will save.
In appreciation for your participation, every member park that completes the survey will receive a free electronic copy of the final survey results, and a condensed version with personalized graphs and tables allowing you to benchmark yourself against the industry. So please, take the time to complete the survey online this year and we can reach our goal of creating a high-quality permanent record for each member park.
