Major Motorized RV Sales Up 5.1% in October

Retail sales of Class A and Class C motorhomes rose 5.1% in October over October 2011, Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI) has reported.
The hike was fairly even among both segments, with Class A’s showing a 4.1% hike over a year ago, while Class C sales were up 6.7%.
For the year, Class A and C sales are up a combined 7.3%. Class A sales remain up 6.2% for the year, while Class C sales are up 8.6%.
In a separate report from SSI, Class B or camper van sales — albeit a much smaller market than for A or C units — were up 32.5% in October and stand up 33.7% for the year.
