President Eyes Commercial Market Expansion
Champion Home Builders Inc. announced the appointment of Phyllis Knight as president of Champion Commercial Structures. In this new position, Knight will lead the company’s efforts to expand its presence in the commercial construction market, according to a news release.
Currently serving as CFO, Knight will continue in that position until her replacement is named. Knight will also assume executive responsibility for the company’s Star Fleet Trucking operations based in Goshen, Ind.
“The creation of this position is further demonstration of Champion’s commitment to the commercial segment of our business,” said Jack Lawless, president and CEO of Champion Home Builders. “Phyllis is uniquely qualified to lead our efforts to broaden our geographic reach and technical capability for our expanding base of commercial customers, which today represent a variety of segments including hotels, apartments and other multi-family structures, student dwellings, retail, urban development and temporary housing in the energy, mining and military markets.”
