Mid-Atlantic Conference Announces Agenda
The Mid-Atlantic Coastal States Conference for Campground Owners gets underway March 5-6 at the Dover Downs Casino Hotel in Dover, Del.
Campground owners and managers from New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware will come together for two days of educational seminars and a trade show. Many of this year’s topics will focus on “Emergency Preparedness” with Jim Eberwine, former meteorologist with the National Weather Service, as the keynote speaker for the opening luncheon, according to a news release.
Later that day, Edward McDonough from the Maryland Emergency Management Agency will address the group and Guy Gagnon from Evergreen USA will host a seminar titled “Developing a Risk Management Attitude.”
Paul Bambei, president of the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds (ARVC), will open the conference, highlighting the benefits of ARVC membership.
Marketing topics include the “441 of On-line Marketing – Do you Pinterest, Blog and Tweet?,” “How to Recruit, Hire and Retain New Employees Including Teenagers” and “Working With Your Local Chambers of Commerce.”
David Ransom from the Washington, D.C., law firm of McDermott, Will & Emery and ARVC’s lobbyist will be the speaker at the luncheon on Wednesday and will give an update on legislation affecting campgrounds.
The trade show with over 30 exhibitors will be open on the afternoon of March 6.
