Winners of the Carefree RV Resorts talent contest hold their check for the top prize: $5,000.

More than 800 people gathered at Sun N Fun Air Museum in Lakeland, Fla., to watch contestants from 25 Carefree RV Resorts across Florida as they competed in the company’s second annual snowbird talent competition, according to a news release.

Walter Gallant and Bob Marshall of the Sweetwater Carefree RV Resort won the $5,000 grand prize with their medley of rock songs. “They will take their winnings and bragging rights back to Canada,” Martin said.

Second prize was awarded to James Stewart of Spanish Main Carefree RV Resort for his powerful Gospel vocal performance. He won $500 and a two-night stay at Carefree’s Blue Moon Inn in Dunedin.
