Report: Canadian RV Sales Mixed in Feb.

Retail sales of towable and motorized RVs in Canada in February were mixed, according to the latest report from Statistical Surveys Inc. (SSI)

The Grand Rapids, Mich-based firm reported that sales of towable RVs were down 5.2% in February, compared to February 2012. By segment, travel trailer sales were down 4.7%, fifth-wheel sales were down 3%, camping trailer sales fell 21.9% and park model sales decreased 9.1%.

Year-to-date, all towable sales are down 9.5% compared to a year ago.

Meanwhile, motorhome sales rose 22.9% in February compared to a year ago.

Class A sales rose 39%, while Class C sales were flat.

Year-to-date, Class A and Class C sales are down 6.2%.
