Grand Canyon Lightning Strike Caught on Film
From www.joe.ie comes the following photo and brief caption:
The U.S. Department of the Interior is responsible for all sorts of stuff, such as natural resources, national parks, Native American issues and many, many more. And their Twitter account, @Interior, is a cracking one to follow.
They tweet loads of great pictures that people and photographers send to them from their parks and this one, snapped by Travis Roe, has to be one of the most dramatic nature pictures ever taken.
It shows the exact moment a lightning strike hits the rim of the Grand Canyon, with an added bit of spookiness added by what appears to be a figure watching the bolt from the right of the screen. It could be a cactus though.
