Riders gather prior to this year’s fundraiser organized by the Copake KOA.

Motorcycle riders throughout the Northeast began their charity poker run at Copake KOA for Third Annual Copake, N.Y. KOA Fall Poker Run.

The event was a fundraiser to benefit KOA Care Camps for children with cancer. KOA Care Camps is a network of 44 specialized summer camps throughout North America that provide a safe, quality summer camp experience for children undergoing treatment for cancer.

The Poker Run was extremely successful and allowed the Campground to meet their total season goal of $5,000 raised for the charity, according to a news release.

Copake KOA extended thanks to Ronnie’s Harley Davidson – Pittsfield, Mass., Freihofer Independent (Jim Troeger), Copake Lake Realty and The Copake Country Club. Also a super special thanks to all of the riders for helping support a great cause!

For information on Next Year’s Run on Sept. 15 email or call the Copake KOA Campground at (518) 329-2811 and ask for Cathy Reinard.
