A campground in northern Florida will pitch in for the fourth year to help clean up a waterway.

Suwannee River Rendezvous Resort and Campground will be holding their Annual River Clean-up on Saturday, Oct. 26, the Suwannee Democrat reported.
“We are calling it our  ‘Clean Up and Party’,” said owner Susie Page.

The campground provides shuttles for volunteers to get back to their vehicles, and a restaurant will feed volunteers at the reort before the event turns into a party — costumes or not.

“This is the fourth year we have been a part of the “Current Problems” Great Suwannee River Clean up,” said Page. “We clean up six miles of river bank from the bridge to the resort.  Last year we collected almost 250 pounds of trash from the six-mile stretch of river.”
