A music festival put on by a California production company and a campground donated $2,250 to a school system to help introduce youths to music and art education, according to the Redwood Times.

Cook's Valley Campground owners Keith and Trudy Bowman teamed up with Andrew Borgelt and Peter Huson of Northern Nights, LLC, for the inaugural Northern Nights Music Festival in Piercy, Calif., July 19-21.

Northern Nights and Cook’s Valley Campground decided they wanted to give back to the local community and decided to donate a portion of ticket sales to the Southern Humboldt Schools Foundation (SOS) and to Leggett School.

The festival will continue to donate to SOS and plans to involve more nonprofits in the future.
