Mich. Township Buying New RV Park Site
Port Huron Township, Mich., is looking at buying 33 acres of land that could be used for a future RV park, the Port Huron Times-Herald reported.
Township Supervisor Bob Lewandowski said the township signed a purchase agreement to pay Talmer Bank and Trust $350,000 for the parcel.
Lewandowski said the parcel could become a spot for a future RV park if the township’s property along Interstate 94 is sold.
Lewandowski said the former owner of the property had plans to develop condominiums and a marina. He said the original owner offered the property to the township a year ago for about $1.2 million.
The township doesn’t have plans for a marina, but Lewandowski said it’s possible an RV park could include some docks in the inlet. The purchase should be finalized in December.
