Lake Rudolph Resort Gives To Local Charity
Jim George, managing partner of Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort in Santa Claus, Ind., recently presented a check for $11,300 to Jeremy Evans, executive director of the Ronald McDonald House in Evansville. According to a press release, the monetary contribution is the result of a partnership with McDonald’s Restaurants.
Each Christmas season, Lake Rudolph hosts the Santa Claus "Land of Lights Family Christmas Light Adventure." Discount coupons for the drive-through light show are offered at participating McDonald's and a portion of proceeds benefits Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). During the past four years, RMHC has received over $38,000 in contributions from Lake Rudolph and the Santa Claus Land of Lights.
“Our Ronald McDonald House in Evansville serves families from around the tri-state and beyond every day," said Evans. "We couldn’t do it without the generous support we receive from our friends at Lake Rudolph and the Santa Claus Land of Lights. Their contribution enriches our community and makes a genuine difference in the lives of hundreds of families each year."
Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley provides a comfortable and supportive environment for families with critically ill children. It also serves as a temporary residence near hospitals and medical facilities where family members can sleep, eat, relax and find support from other families in similar situations.
The Santa Claus Land of Lights is now open from 5-9 p.m. CST on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 8, and opens nightly Dec. 13 through New Year’s Eve. The light show is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. For a complete operating schedule or to purchase prepaid passes, visit the website at SantaClausLandofLights.com.
