Ariz. RV Resort Offers Activity Options
Anna Mae Benz didn’t know what to expect when she showed up for the first day of her tai chi class last week.
“I thought I was going to do it by myself,” she told the Casa Grande (Ariz.) Dispatch.
Instead Benz saw six people join her for the class at Sunscape RV Resort, a community for winter visitors who are 55 and older located near the Pinal Fairgrounds and Event Center.
Benz, who is from the San Francisco Bay area, is spending her first winter at the park after she and her husband wintered in Palm Springs, Calif., last year.
The tai chi class is just one of several events the park has planned for its winter visitors, from pickleball and billiards to trips to local casinos and a trip Feb. 25 to see the USS Iowa and Space Shuttle Endeavour in Los Angeles.
In addition, the park has invited Phil Rakoci for a presentation on desert animals and the Border Patrol to come in and give a presentation on what agents do.
