Council Reverses On Campground Plan
While the Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta city council approved an expansion of the local Lion’s Club campground back in August, the council took it back, the Fort Saskatchewan Record reported.
The move does not necessarily mean that the grounds won’t be expanded.
Rather, it will allow the council to slow down the process and get some more information before making a decision either way.
“The way this was approved by our council was incredibly messy,” Mayor Gale Katchir told the council.
“I know we say we move at the pace of a glacier, but when we move at the pace of a fast-burning fire, that’s not good either,” Katchir said.
A public forum will be held at a later date regarding the possible future expansion of the grounds.
