N.H. RV Park Adds Snowmobile Business
Jack Killion had already made a nine-year success of his business, Riverbrook RV Resort, an RV sales and service center that offers RV camping along New Hampshire’s Baker River near Rumney, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported.
But during the winter months, there should be more opportunity for business, he thought.
“I had this big open field,” Killion said. “The question was, what to do with it?”
That open field is now a new business started by Killion, his brother John Killion of Concord, Chris Knudson of Rumney and Patrick Gibson of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., called Wicked Snocross.
It’s a quarter-mile snowmobile racing track similar, its owners say, to the kinds of tracks professional snowmobile riders drive while competing in the East Coast Snocross Series.
The business opened last month.
Wicked Snocross has been very busy since it opened, said Gibson, who said the closest similar snocross track is in Wisconsin.
The RV park had facilities in place for the track, Killion said. There is already a recreation hall there with heated bathrooms, and there’s plenty of parking.
