Campers looking to book one of the Alberta’s coveted camping spots for the unofficial start to the camping season can now make reservations, CTV News Calgary reported.

Starting this morning (Feb. 18) reservations can be made on the Reserve Alberta Parks website for more than 5,500 campsites at 66 campgrounds located throughout the province. The website includes photographs of each campsite.

“The online system is a great way for campers to pick their experience and amenities, and plan for a wonderful time in one of Alberta’s many provincial parks,” said Dr. Richard Starks, Minister of Tourism, Parks and Recreation. “Our parks provide Alberta residents and visitors from around the world with a range of opportunities to connect with nature, spend time with friends and family, and have fun.”
