Ill. City Improving Campground, Park
Macomb, Ill. plans to spend $100,000 in capital improvements for a city campground and park, the McDonough Voice reported.
Macomb Park Director Ray Peterson told the city council’s park and pool committee, “I would rather get four or five things done than spend the money on just one project.”
Peterson mentioned needed concrete work in three areas: Walkways to the shelter houses, new floors for the shelter houses, and slabs for handicapped-accessible campsites.
“The list is long in terms of all the things we could do,” he said.
