Michael Farabaugh wants to turn his 75-acre property at known as Freedom Park in Brown County, Ind., into a public campground. To do so, he needs the approval of the county’s board of zoning appeals because a “public camp” is not permitted on his property without a special zoning exception, the Brown County Democrat reported.

The hearing was scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, but it has been tabled due to Planning Commission Director David Woods being on temporary leave. The planning department is also waiting for information about the location of the septic field for the proposed campground.
