Soon after their purchase of Prairie Oasis Campground & Cabins in November 2013, new owners Patty Christopher and Todd Peterson turned to Pelland Advertising to create a new presence for their small park in Henderson, Neb. The initial work consisted of a new logo, new site map, and a new responsive website, according to a press release. The park was referred to Pelland Advertising by Dick and Marilyn DeWard, owners of The Campground Connection, campground brokers – and Pelland Advertising clients themselves – based in Grandville, Mich.

According to Marilyn DeWard, “It is so critical in today’s marketplace to have a professionally designed online presence to add credibility to your business. Prairie Oasis is located right off I-80 (with some stiff competition) and it needed a fresh look in order to convince interstate travelers that it was serious about providing the best service available. Pelland Advertising was the perfect answer, not only because the company specializes in this industry, but most importantly, because of its attention to detail.”

Patty Christopher said, “My website is very professional and fine-tuned to my customers’ needs. I didn’t even know how to get started, but Peter Pelland and his staff walked me through each step of the process. Everything was accomplished by phone and e-mail, leading me to highly recommend using Pelland Advertising no matter where your campground is located. It is a pleasure doing business with such a conscientious company.”

To the park’s advantage, the new website – built at the start of the winter season in Nebraska – was able to access and use high-resolution photos that had been taken by Marilyn DeWard when the property was listed, months in advance of when suitable new seasonal photos could be taken.

According to Pelland, CEO of Pelland Advertising, the partnership with The Campground Connection worked to everybody’s advantage. “The fact that both businesses are based in the Midwest also helps to dispel any lingering perceptions that our company is primarily a regional player in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the country. We are orchestrating our expansion into new markets, as evidenced by our membership, for example, in both Florida ARVC (Association of RV Parks & Campgrounds) and California ARVC. We are pleased that both Prairie Oasis and The Campground Connection have comfortably relied upon our services.”
