Tents for Troops added anothertwelve parks across eight states, the nonprofit group announced Tuesday, Feb. 11. joining the program last week are:

• Oak Creek Campground Walton, Ky.

• Cowboys with Toys Off Road Adventure Park, Talihina, Okla.

• Hunts lodge Motorcycle Club & Campground, Telico Plains, Tenn.

• Clear Creek Station, Cascade, Idaho.

• Birdsong Resort Marina & Campground, Camden, Tenn.

• Mountain Glen RV Park, Pikeville, Tenn.

• Tennessee Hills Campground, Manchester, Tenn.

• Ewing Park Campground & RV Park, Huntington, Texas.

• Silver Derby Campground & RV Park, Lowell Point, Alaska.

• Piney River Escape RV Park, Bon Aqua, Tenn.

• Lakefront RV Park, Mesa Lake, Wash.

• Washita Valley RV Park, Chickasha, Okla.

Tents for Troops is a nationwide network of RV parks and campgrounds that offer free sites to active military members and their families, including reservists and National Guard members. The troops and their families do not pay to use the sites and there is never a fee of any type for the RV parks and campgrounds that participate in the program.

Anyone who owns or manages an RV park or campground and is not already signed up as a Tents for Troops Park can sign up at Parks of all shapes and sizes are welcome and parks that offer RV-only sites are welcome as well. The program utilizes otherwise-vacant sites and never asks for a site that a park could have otherwise rented.
