A developer submitted plans to expand an existing recreational campground north of Brooksville, Fla., and add additional amenities, Hernando Today reported.

Belle Parc RV Resort will have spots for 276 RVs and owners would be able to park their rigs up to 180 days.

Alan Garman, vice president for Greenman-Petersen Inc. engineers, said the first phase of the four-phase project should begin as soon as the necessary permits are in-hand.

The construction trades should get a much-needed boost from the project, said Buddy Selph, broker with Tommie Dawson Realty.

The RV park is located in a heavily treed area outside of town where people can enjoy a nearby lake and nature, which should be a draw for people who enjoy that lifestyle, Selph said.
