Ga. Campground Opens March 24
Shady Grove Campground near Cumming, Ga., opens for use March 24. The campground will remain open until Nov. 2, Patch reported.
“Shady Grove Campground has become a very popular Lake Lanier vacation destination,” said Parks and Recreation Director Jerry Kinsey in a press release. “We are excited about welcoming campers to officially begin the 2014 camping season on March 24.”
In addition to the more than 110 campsites for campers to enjoy, the 109-acre campground’s amenities include a beach and swim area, boat ramp with courtesy dock, group campsites with picnic shelters, playground, tent camping areas and campsites with water and 30- and 50-amp power hookups.
“Shady Grove Campground grows in popularity every year,” Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation Tommy Bruce said in the release. “During recent camping seasons, our campsite rentals have continued to increase.”
