NMCRS Grateful To Arizona RV Park
The director of the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) in Yuma, Ariz., had glowing praise for Del Pueblo RV Park and Tennis Resort after the park's residents raised $10,000 in a silent auction and donated that money to the society.
In a letter published in the Yuma Sun, Lora O'Hara wrote, "A very, very special thank you goes out to the residents of Del Pueblo RV Park and Tennis Resort on Avenue 3E for the magnificent monetary donation given to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society Yuma. Del Pueblo owners Donna and Dale Farmer organized a silent auction and the proceeds were donated to NMCRS. Del Pueblo’s event garnered a donation total of $10,000!
"The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Societyhas been helping sailors, Marines and their families for more than 110 years. From its origin in Theodore Roosevelt’s first administration, the society has always been there for our service men and women."
She continued, "Although sponsored by the Navy, programs and services are entirely funded by donated dollars."
O'Hara concluded her letter by saying, "NMCRS Yuma was able to see more than 700 clients and disbursed more than $362,000 in 2014. Thank you again, Del Pueblo residents, for your generosity!"
