It may not be ideal weather for campers preparing for an action packed weekend of racing, but nothing will let fans hit the brakes when it comes to see a race at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee, television station WCYB reported.

Barb Nobis and company spent Thursday evening (March 13) enjoying the sunshine and fighting the cold wind, but it’s not dampening spirits at Farmer Bob’s Campground.

Nobis told the television station her husband turned their farm over to trusted ranch hands last week.

Across Highway 394, Terri McCall, manager of the All-American campground, said they’ve only had two weather related cancellations. ” A lot of our campers come from up north and they actually tried to get a jump start to get here before the weather got bad,” she said.

All-American has room for almost 2,000 campers. McCall told WCYB she has more than 360 paid advance reservations and a lot of repeat customers.
