RV & Camping Show Drew Crowds
The Rhode Island RV & Camping Show drew thousands of people over the weekend, the Providence Journal reported.
The show featured vendors representing campgrounds from all over New England, some of whom were ready to take reservations on the spot. Bookings were slow over the weekend, probably because it’s still early in the season, said Gregg Goldberg, representing 10 New England campgrounds that are part of the Encore and Thousand Trails groups.
Marybeth Tedesco, who manages RV shows all around the country, said about 8,000 to 10,000 attended the three-day event.
While sales are “booming” in other parts of the country, they’re only just “starting to pick up” in Rhode Island, she said.
