The residents of Hohokam RV and Mobile Home Village had a special evening Feb. 7 to raise money for the Coolidge (Ariz.) Veterans Center at the Open Hands Outreach Program. They hosted their inaugural resident casino night, the Coolidge Examiner reported.
The seniors got their chips at the door and had fun playing lots of different types of casino games. At the end of the evening, an auction was held with many donated prizes thanks to local merchants. Residents were only allowed to use their chip winnings to bid on the items. The casino night raised approximately $700 for the veterans center.
