Seems winter visitors to other cities like to spend part of their winter — or early spring — in Bullhead City, Ariz., the Mohave Daily News reported.

“Most of us are winter visitors,” said Gene Siefferman, manager of the Sundance RV Resort men’s 70-and-over softball team. That’s winter visitors in Casa Grande, Ariz., not in the Tri-state.

The annual spring senior softball tournament, which began Friday and concludes today, brought the Sundance players — and 73 other teams — to town.

“We like the tournament,” Siefferman said. “We like the location. It’s a nice tournament.”

Sundance RV has “four or five” players from Canada on its roster, including Les Malinowksi, who is from Vancouver Island, British Columbia. Siefferman is one of a handful of team members from the Springfield, Ill., area. John Seigla, originally from Cincinnati, is one of the few team members who now calls Casa Grande home year-round.
