Campground reservations are being accepted for PacifiCorp’s Cresap Bay and Cougar Camp parks along the North Fork of the Lewis River in Washington, the Columbian of Vancouver, Wash., reported.

Reservations can be made online for the first time. A $5 fee will be charged for all campground reservations, changes and cancellations. Credit card payment will be accepted so the reservations can be confirmed immediately.

Individuals will be limited to four reservations for the 2014 season due to the popularity of the campgrounds.

A toll-free reservation line also is operating. Given the call volume, it may take several days for a reservation agent to return calls.

Individual sites at Cresap Bay and Cougar cost $20 per night.

The utility offers 318 campsites, hot showers, boat ramps and recreational vehicle stations at its system of parks along the river.

PacifiCorp operates Merwin, Yale and Swift dams.

Cresap Bay on Merwin Reservoir will be open May 23 though Sept 30. Cougar, on Yale Reservoir, will be open May 23 through Labor Day. Beaver Bay, also on Yale, will be open April 26 through Sept. 30. Swift Forest Camp, on Swift Reservoir, will be open April 26 until the end of late deer hunting season in mid-November.
